Yay for Clay

There are times when I just can't make ribbon work how I would like it to. Sometimes the cuts are too small and the ribbon disintegrates. Sometimes it is just too one-dimensional. That is when I step away from my mounds of ribbon and scissors and move over to work with clay. I am not great at making people but love doing characters. These are examples of what I made yesterday:-) So, maybe you think that you want something you will never find, just ask. You never know what I can come up with!

Celebrity Gifting

I have been a part of Baby Swags for a little over a year now but never had been a part of a gifting. I was waiting for the perfect opportunity. I knew I wanted to do Tori Spelling or Jennifer Garner first. Tori Spelling came up first on my radar. Why Tori Spelling? She is a hard-working mom! She's a true entrepreneur. And she has an adorable little girl. To sweeten the deal, there is also a blog dedicated to how Stella dresses! So, for me, that was a slam dunk and worth the cost to be involved.
Here is the link to the gifting for her 3rd birthday. So, I will be stalking this page now in hopes to catch a glimpse of one my following items:
Lady Bug clips
Betsy Ross flower
Canadian maple leaf clip
Fortune Cookie clip
Chinese Takeout clip
Sushi clip
Flip Flops clip
Big Sister necklace
Sweet treats necklace

Not a Hippy!

I am so not a person that likes the whole peace sign/tie-dye movement. It reminds me of an odd part of history where people lived without rules. So not me. I realize that now it's just fashion and fun. I am trying to branch out. I have offered the peace sign ribbon that many purchased. I just purchased new tie-dye daisies. And today, I made this with my new tie-dye ribbon. I love it. That's my little secret. Maybe I am a closet hippy chick;-)

Please be kind and do not take this photo as your own.

Back to Life

I am bringing this blog BACK TO LIFE! I have solely been plugging away on Facebook but realize that it can clog up people's feeds. I can appreciate that because it drives me nuts as well;-)

So, I will give you a few facts about me:

* I am Candy, actually Candace. I am pretty sure this will be a source of embarrassment when I turn 80 and am in an old folks home;-)
* My husband named Candyland Bowtique. He is quite witty and a genius when it comes to that stuff. Don't tell him I said that. I like him to think I don't notice;-)
* I am a Mom of 2 solar-powered kids, a boy and a girl. Unfortunately we live in Florida so they are always charged up to the max;-)
* I am deathly afraid of spiders. Don't care if they are tiny or huge. If I see them, you can be sure of 2 things: I WILL scream. I will RUN. I don't care if you are 2 years old and not capable of comprehending what danger lies in those 8 tiny legs and it's evil web it spins. Every man for himself;-)
* I have the worst memory in the world. I swear it has been made worse after 2 births. Maybe they removed part of my brain along with the babies.
* I am a shop-a-holic. There, I said it. And I feel so much more power because I said it out loud. If it is on sale, and I mean something I completely have no use for, then I will entertain buying it. Seriously, I will. $1.99 for a an oil painting on velvet of Elvis? No way, WHAT a steal! I'll take it;-)
* I love creating more than working. I work because I want to create. I LOVE my custom orders because it gives me a chance to stretch my legs, so to speak.
* Speaking of legs, I am short. I am aware of it. I don't feel inferior. I only wish jeans were easier to find.

There you go. I don't know where I will go with this blog. I promise it will be entertaining and not stuffy. I won't give you deals and steals, as so many blogs do that. Maybe I will do tutorials. Maybe I will post random contests here. Maybe super secret coupon codes. Wait and see!
